Yes, GBA games will play on the DS. And I’m not sure if it matters to you, but you can also pick whether it plays on the top or bottom (touch) screen

The DS or Ds lite Plays both Ds & gameboy advances(GBA) games. If you buy a ds you’ll see a 2 cartiages slots or game slots. The top slot is for ds games and the bottom slot is for GBA. So isnt that kinda cool that a ds is an 2in1 Compadiable handheld system.

I was thinking about selling my Game Boy Advance SP to buy a Nintendo DS Lite, I have been wanting to play New Super Mario Bros.

However, I would still like to continue playing my favorite Game Boy Advance games on the Nintendo DS. I know this console is backward compatible with all Game Boy Advance titles but are there any drawbacks, my Game Boy Advance SP plays all of my games flawlessly.

How does the Nintendo DS Lite perform in contrast to the Game Boy Advance SP?

It should be fine, in fact I’m told that playing the games on the nintendo ds will increase the colour quality compared to the game boy advance because of the capability of the DS colour display.

No, but it’s the other way around. If you just own a DS, then it’s like you own both a GBA and a DS.

I want to buy jeopardy! but nintendo does not make a ds version. Can I buy a game boy Jeopardy game and it work with the ds??

Nope. A DS can play Game Boy Advance games, but not original Game Boy games or Game Boy Color games.

I reccomend buying a Game Boy Advance, which can play all three types of Game Boy Games.

The DS fat and DS lite can play all GBA games, but not Gameboy or Gameboy Color.

However, the new DSi canNOT play them- it doesn’t even have a SLOT for them. This also makes games that require additional devices, such as Band Brothers (with its song expansion packs), the DS Guitar Hero, and Oshare Majo Love and Berry unable to be played.

No, because they are two different systems, but if you buy a gameboy advanced SP game it would work on your DS.
