DS London Record

KH 358/2 days comes out sometime this year.Birth By Sleep’s release date is unknown (unless you have like information from this month in a magazine or something). I haven’t even heard of a making of KH3.

Okay, so I just got a nintendo ds a few weeks ago. I’ve heard that you can put Gameboy Advance games in and play them on the DS. Is this true? Do I just put the games in the game slot 2, the bigger one, and I can play it just fine?

I just want to make sure before I, you know, buy a GBA game x]

If it helps the game I’m talking about getting specifically is Pokemon Leaf Green or Fire Red from the GBA era.

Yes, it works just fine…

I HIGHLY suggest that you buy pokemon diamond as well… After diamond is completed, you can actually TRANSFER your pokemon from the GBA cartidges to your pokemon diamond version!

Example:

I have a lvl 50 Venusaur in my Leaf Green… By talking to a person in Diamond Version, I can transfer the Venusaur to my DS chip… Please note that the Venusaur will actually move, and not be copied to the chip, which means that your leaf green version will be quite useless after you have transferred… =)

it states it has the same properties as the ds lite but not sure if that includes being able to use other nintendo games too. thanks for any info.

nope u cant play gba games. i love gba games so i had to buy i ds lite as well as a dsi xl

yes always. but i wish they hadn’t come up with the 4th generation of pokemon. the first 450(or something) were the best. now they’re just running out of ideas and making the whole thing lame.

If not why not? Because I was hoping to be able to play my game boy color games on my nintendo ds Lite System [when I get one] but I want to be sure that ALL of my game boy games work on it BEFORE I buy one. So if anyone could help me I would truly appreciate it thanks.

No, you can not play Game Boy or Game Boy Color games on the DS, DS Lite, or the new DSi which will be here sometime this spring/summer.

You can play Game Boy Advance games on the DS and DS Lite, but not on the DSi, which has no extra slot.

Basically:

DS and DS Lite: No Game Boy or Game Boy Color. Yes Game Boy Advance

DSi: No Game Boy, Game Boy Color, or Game Boy Advance games.

i have the pokemon game soul silver for nintendo ds. I also have the game ruby for game boy. Can i trade pokemon from ruby to soul silver?

If you have/read the instruction booklet for Soul Silver you would not need to ask this.
You cannot trade with those game, but you can migrate/import the PKMN from the Ruby version by putting it below the DS/DSL (second slot B)
You can migrate once u arrive at Kanro/Fushsia City/Pal Park.

If you want to play DS games, you’ll need a DS or DS Lite.

No they’re not compatible. DS games run off a slightly different technology than the game boy games. That’s why the DS can play gameboy games in the GB slot, but a GB can’t play DS games.
