I’ll get pokemon heartgold and then for the near future those are my only plans for games on the DS. It will cost me $75 brand new at radioshack but still would it be worth it?

For one game? No, it’s not worth it. I say wait a little longer and go with the 3DS. They won’t give you that much for it anyways if you trade it in. The 3DS will let you play all DS games available except the ones that require a GBA slot. As for DS games, since Nintendo is the one making it, they might have one or two more games for the DS for the future, but they will promote their new device like hell. Third-party games may still come out the same way there are ps2 games coming out to this day.
If you’re going to trade in your DS when the 3DS comes out, you might as well just wait for it. You should reserve it too. The 3DS is the hot topic in the gaming world right now and anticipation for it is huge. Remember that the wii was out of stock for over 2 years straight and the 3DS will likely follow that trend.
I have a ds who bought by my friend while he was in Australia, but now the ds is lost so I want to buy a new one. The problem is I really do not know where to buy it.

my ds lite works really good except for one problem, the hinge has a hard time opening because of a crack. as far as the actual gaming goes it works 100%. will they buy it and how much would they buy it for? I want to save for a nintendo dsi xl.

Probably for 30-50, remember, they will always offer far less so they can sell it at a marked up price for profit. All businesses do so dont hate. You can always go in and ask. Also, they should "give" you more if you do store credit only, so if you wanted another, newer one, or upgrade to a PSP or something else, it would end up being far less out of pocket money for you.

I’m thinking about buying a DS sometime in the future. I know the DSi has all those new features, but I’d prefer to buy the DS Lite just to save money and I really don’t care much for the new features on the DSi. I just want to play the games, but I’m worried if whether Nintendo is going to stop making games for the DS Lite and start only making games for the DSi in the future?
Yeah, they play the exact same game cartridges. However, the lite is a lot smaller than the DSi, and the DSi comes with all the extra features. Additionally, if you have any game boy advance games the DS lite is also backwards compatible with the GBA cartidges.

I got the DS the winter it came out and I LOVED the thing so much i got a DS lite just so I could see the games better I play Mario Cart DS almost every day for hours! There is no better portable system!The Psp isnt as good as a DS in many people opinions! Pokemon pearl Is a really good game but nintendos gets boring after a week. Mario Cart is the best DS game I think IT IS SO MUCH FUN IT IS A MUST HAVE GAME FOR THE DS! Also Lunar kinghts is Amazingly fun.

No,I wouldn’t.It doesn’t have any games that would make you want to buy it.I’d rate mine a 3.The system itself is built nice,its just that there aren’t any spectacular games for it.There are a few little fun ones you can find here and there,but thats it.If anything,I recommend you get a GBA SP.It can play all of the original GB games,GBC games and GBA games,and there are plenty of good games in the GB and GBC library,especially the GB library.You can find one really cheap,around 40-60 bucks.Maybe less.Its 100% worth your money,unlike the DS Lite.Its your decision though.
