I want a nintendo ds Lite but can’t have one because my parents think it will ruin my eye since I already have glasses. How can I make sure it won’t ruin my eyes so I can buy one? Also, can someone tell me how to earn some extra money so I can buy one? I am already at $121 but I still need more.
For one, it’s been scientifically proven that sitting in front of a TV, handheld game consoles or anything else with a screen for an extended period of time will not damage your vision. It’s just recommended that you keep as far away from the screen as possible. If they’re worried about the reflection and glare and such, then you could ask to get contacts.
As for money, look around your town at supermarkets, cafes, general stores, etc. to see if they need anyone to work for them. A job reels in money like nothing. But apart from that you could do chores and earn allowance money, do odd jobs for your neighbours/neighbourhood and earn money that way. Sell anything you don’t want, too. Have a yard sale.

When my DS hurts my eyes I just but the brightness of the screen on low. You could just adjust the level of brightness to whatever feels comfortable to you. And as for making more money. Do you have any family member or friend that needs help around the house or needs to sdread junk mail. When I need some money I just ask my aunt if she needs help around the house. She always gives me and my sister money for helping her sort through junk mail. Try saying "I need only a little bit more money to buy my Nintendo DS Lite, so I was wondering if you needed help around your house." And then you could work out a price. Good luck!

Adjust the brightness on the DS to low. Try to keep your face as far away from the screen as possible also.
If you want money you could try selling your used junk at ebay or maybe start a yard sale.

Play with the lights on, keep the screen the most far from your eyes you can. It has the same capacity of ruining your eyes as any LCD screen. The XL has a better screen for people with vision problems!
