Nintendo make the most interactive games currently on the market.
Tell them about the wiifit board and how it helps with excercise and balnce
Tell them about brain traininhg and how it has proven results to boost intelligence
Tell them that it can bring the whole family together in quiz games.
If all else fails then promise to pay for half of it or do chores etc.
Nowadays you can get them second hand quite cheap so if you were prepared to get a second hand console then you could telll them how cheap they are

Nintendo Wii games are more geared towards party games with multiple players, but the do have lots of single player games as well. Also, the wii has wiifit so a person can excersice and track their results. I have a wii and believe me we use it all the time to surf the web, play games, check emai, watch movies on the internet. Coolest thing I’ve ever seen.

to persuade them, i would say that you should do some chores around the house, or promise them that you will get amazing grades in school, or stuff like that. Or save money and buy one yourself.
i got a wii after my parents got my report card and i told them that i would get good grades in school, and i did, i got a 4.2 GPA in my freshman year of high school…
