ow when you go to …
ow when you go to take out and put in the ribbon cable, is there something that you have to unclip and clip in order for the cable to stay in place or does the cable just slide into the slot. i just want to make sure because i am planning on replacing the shell on my ds due to cracked hinges and i dont want to mess anything up and ive heard numerous times that the ribbon cable is always a pain in the to mess with.

@VGCheater55 I did this yesterday and it works! The clip is the dark brown line on top of the white area. The clip flips up horizontally or longways, I believe it was the ribbon side that flips up. I placed my fingernail under the brown line with the top side of my nail on the ribbon, it looks like he did it with a tool in the video. It seems very fragile. But it worked. The ribbon comes right out when clip is up. Goodluck, the whole process took a long time. My son is playing with it now

hum….. my hinge …
hum….. my hinge isnt broken, nor is any cracks showing on my ds, BUT, the platform where the on/charge piece that holds the screen upright is bent downwards due to pulling the screen to its maximum rotation too many times

i’m wondering if its possible to bent it back to its original position and put something down there to stabalize it

D: i’m so out of ideas now…. gaaaa
