FAQ

Who is organising this and why?

DS: London is meetup group based in London, England. It was formed two and a half years ago to bring together adult fans of the Nintendo DS console for socialising and gaming. Since forming, DS: London has held over 60 meet ups, a number of popular charity events and has been a part of the London Games Festival Fringe since 2007. There is more information at our other website www.dslondon.net or check out our you tube video below.

Where is it?

See more information on the where section of our website.

What time do I have to be there?

The record attempt will be open for registration from 4pm. We are aiming to attempt the record between 5-6pm or sooner if we get enough people.

How long will I need to be there for?

The record stipulates that we must play for 5 minutes but with the number of people involved it is likely to take approximately an hour or so. We do however recommend you come to watch the other competitions on the day or enjoy the fact there are other people from different gaming backgrounds and just play some DS!

Do I have to pay to enter the venue or play?

Entry to the venue will be free on the day and but we will be accepting voluntary donations in aid of Children In Need.

Can I come even if I don't have a DS? / Can I bring non-DS playing friends?

Of course you can! More the merrier, however, as space may become an issue we would like you to use your discretion in bringing too many non-ds players. Remember, you can always borrow someone's DS from school or work.

What do I get for participating? (i.e do I get a certificate or something to show I was there?)

The satisfaction of breaking the record and meeting some new people to play games with.

Can I help? If so how?

We have a team organising the event, but could do with people on the day to smooth the registration process. The next best way to help would be to invite as many people as you know with a DS to come to the event!
