Nintendo DS Lite vs. Nintendo DSi?

Which one is the better of the two? Reasons?

I’d ask about the PSP go, but seeing as how I’m just getting back into video games, I’m not really interested in springing for the highest priced items, haha. So, keep in mind that I’m not exactly a hardcore gamer anymore … just tryna get back into the swing of gaming things, I guess, lol.

I’ve had a DS Phat, DS Lite, and a DSi. I think the Lite is the worst of the three, mainly because the design of the system is pretty bad. Those things get hinge cracks like there’s no tomorrow, and shoulder buttons can’t be expected to last for more than a year unless you’re really lucky. It IS brighter than the original DS, but that’s about the only advantage over it. The only thing it has over the DSi is the GBA slot, which it managed to ruin anyway, since the game juts out like half an inch from the system while it’s inserted.

DSi also has bigger (even moreso with the new XL/LL), brighter screens, is more powerful, has some decent exclusive games in terms of DSiWare, and it’s supposedly going to get some DSi-exclusive games as well.

Also, a quick thing about your PSP question. I wouldn’t recommend the Go to ANYONE. The PSP 3000 (and 1000/2000, but they’re out of print) can do MUCH more, and they’re a LOT cheaper as well. The Go has absolutely nothing over the other models. It’s quite a bit more expensive, it CAN’T play any UMD games, which means that the system can’t even play half of the PSP’s library (including some really great games), since you can only play games from Sony’s PlayStation Store online, which is usually severely overpriced in itself. Even if you for some reason like the whole digital-download thing, the other PSP models can do it, not just the Go. And a 3000 with a 16GB memory stick is cheaper than the Go, believe it or not.

In super mario 64 DS, where is the third floor (i have 50 stars)? Also how do u unlock Wario?

u have to get luigi, in big boos castle. then go to the mirror room. there are power flowers. get one of them, then jump thru the mirror and jump into the wario painting. there is a star behind the reflected door too.hope i helped,

No, because they are two different systems, but if you buy a gameboy advanced SP game it would work on your DS.

I forgot how to do the whole ROM’s and Emulator thing. Also i have Windows 7, and all the old things i used to download are just not compatible with Windows 7 for some reason. Can anyone help me out ?

i recommend getting the emulator no$gba, it plays both gba and ds games, you can download that here: http://www.emulator-zone.com/

it should be easy for you to use it since you’ve used emulators before but if you don’t remember you can always read the .txt file that comes with the emulator.

as for downloading roms, i can’t help you there. it’s illegal to post that sort of content. your best bet would be to google it.

Refurbished means it broke, and then Nintendo fixed it. The used one hasn’t broken yet, and might be just ready to break. I would get the refurbished, they are extensively tested before they are resold.

My birthday is coming up and i have a nintendo ds. What gamed are really fun that i should ask for?

I agree with FWBtoast above. Bomberman is such a blast with other people playing (pun intended). I like Trauma Center as well. Remember the old "Operation" game where you try to remove parts with the tweezers and you get BUZZED if you touch the edge of the opening? Well, Trauma Center adds a whole lot of other skills into that mix, like timing, and sequential order just to name a few.

Heres’ a list of the games I have for DS. My faves are at the top of the list.

Brain Age (the reason I bought the DS in the 1st place!)
Brain Age Academy (a lot like Brain Age which I love.)
Clubhouse Games (40 games in 1 cartridge!!!! Gives you card games, Bowling, Darts, and my fave…CHESS! But the chess is too easy to beat. So play with a handicap by allowing it to capture some pieces at first.) There are a lot of other games worth playing on this fine cartridge, too!)

Bomberman!!! (Highly addictive especially in 2 player mode)
Mario VS Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis (Superb!!!!)
Retro Atari (another bunch of games in 1 cartridge)
WarioWare: Touched (Quick mini games lots of variety)
Konami Classics (another multi game cartridge)
Sudoku (should be called "Sudo-on-the-go!")
Burnout (Crash’em up and rack up points! Car game)
New Super Mario Bros. (Mario gets even bigger!)
Kirby Canvas Course (an okay cutsie game)
Age of Empires (Good if you like strategy sims)
Cars (a little disappointing but still fun)
True Swing Golf (Hey! It’s golf in your hand! Tee’em up!)

Animal Crossing (never understood why people liked it so much. A very slow laid back game. I really tried to like it but just knew I really didn’t.)

well no you can’t but i can suggest you migrate your pokemon from firered to your ds. Nut just to let you know you can’t trade any pokemon back to firered.
