Whats the difference with the nintendo ds and the othere two?

nintendo ds i and the nintendo ds lite…. i want to buy one for my son but i honestly don’t know the difference,and which one is better?

The DS regular and Lite are unable to play Game Boy Color games, either. There is a little notch that makes it so they don’t fit.

But depending on your son’s age, the DS Lite will probably be the best bet. It’s cheaper and has less on it to break.
I advise not getting a regular DS, as the screen isn’t quite as bright and it’s bulkier and the battery doesn’t last as long.

    Nintendo DS I has a camera and a voice recorder. The DS lite does not.

    One costs more, has a slightly larger display, and has two (crappy, but fun to play with) cameras built in. That’s the DSi, it costs about $70USD more and can’t play old Game Boy color/advance games.

    The other is cheaper, smaller, has no cameras, and can play old game boy color/advance games. That’s the DS Lite.

    Along with what Navindras said, the DSi also has an SD card slot for music, photos etc. However, NO DS can play GameBoy games, only GameBoy Advance games on the DS/DS Lite. So, unless your Son will be absolutely unable to keep his GameBoy (assuming he has one and will be keeping his games), it’d be MUCH more worth it to get a DSi
