Playing Game Boy Advance titles on the Nintendo DS?

I was thinking about selling my Game Boy Advance SP to buy a Nintendo DS Lite, I have been wanting to play New Super Mario Bros.

However, I would still like to continue playing my favorite Game Boy Advance games on the Nintendo DS. I know this console is backward compatible with all Game Boy Advance titles but are there any drawbacks, my Game Boy Advance SP plays all of my games flawlessly.

How does the Nintendo DS Lite perform in contrast to the Game Boy Advance SP?

It should be fine, in fact I’m told that playing the games on the nintendo ds will increase the colour quality compared to the game boy advance because of the capability of the DS colour display.

  4. There are no drawbacks on the ds when you play all the old gba games, I play my gba games on my ds all the time and there is never a problem. You also can either put the gba gameplay on the top screen or bottom screen, so you have that choice when you put the setting on the ds.

  5. I have no problems playing Gameboy Advance games on my DS. The ony minor drawback is that the DS can’t fit the game entirely, so a half of the game cartridge sticks out of the console. Also, it can’t play regular Gameboy Color games.
