how do you play gameboy advance/nintendo ds games on a computer?

I have a mac 10.4.11. I heard that you can download something called a gameboy emulator on the computer. how does it work and how can I do this?

    to play click the icon of the no$gba (triangle icon) then choose the rom you download.
