the original big grey gameboy games wont work on the ds lite or original ds. However, the gba and gba sp can play original gameboy games.

I have metroid 2, an original game boy game, and it wont work in my original ds or ds lite, but my gba and gba sp run it.

Everyone here that says the DS will work is wrong. It WILL NOT work on the DS. The DS and DS Lite are only capable of running GBA games.

The GBA (assuming it isn’t a micro) will be able to play it though.

only on GBA. The DS’s only accept GBA catridges and DSi, none.

Yes, it will.
I have a couple classics myself.

They work fine w/ my DS lite. But, yeah – they don’t work on DSi.
