this just happened …
this just happened to my brothers ds lite, he got it for this christmas and didn’t even drop it or mistreat it at all. a few weeks ago he just opened it and one of the hinges broke. i thought nintendo would just replace it for free since it has a warranty, but i spent a half an hour on the phone with a guy saying that it was going to cost 65 dollars even with a warranty. Its clearly a defect.
