   @ErasmoPA I was just very careful and kinda moved it back and forward until it came out. Just don’t rush and be gentle. When putting the cable back try and straighten it as best as you can and slide it straight through.

   when trying to take the ribbon cable out at the beginning of the first video I broke off the cable clip,is there a simple way to fix it by just soldering it back onto the board or is that un-fixable now?

    Thanks you so much , ive just fixed my sons DS. I did find the ribbon cable extra tricky to roll but that might be because i have long nails x

    Brilliant, thanks. Panicked a bit when turning it on and the green light came on briefly, bottom screen flashed white, then it all went off. Sure enough (as you tipped), i mucked up connecting the ribbon cable. Perhaps your video could have “common issues and what might have caused them” at the end?
