If you buy a nintendo ds lite from japan will it work with American games and will it all be in japanese?

I want to buy a all blue nds lite from japan. I dont care how stupid it sounds.

The nintendo ds is region free, so you can play DS games from other countries. I bought my DS Lite in America, but I play imported Japanese games on it too, so there shouldn’t be a problem with the other way around.
