ok, so i have the original nintendo ds and i just feel kinda outdated with it…and plus, i dropped it one too many times and one of the thingys that connects the screen to the bottom part is half broken off [and it was in a case when i dropped it o_O] and im kinda worried that one of these days im gonna drop it again and its just gonna die all together…. anyways, i was thinking about buying a new ds, but i’m honestly not sure which one to get! because i know the dsi XL is going to be out like the end of this month [toysrus.com's preorder says it should ship on march 28th http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4040780 ] and it seems cool, however i’m not sure i would like having it be oversized but i dunno…and then theres the dsi which is only $30 cheaper and its smaller…i like the fact that those both have cameras, but wifi dosnt matter because i already have a wifi adapter that fits ds light [i accidentally spent $30 on it, got it home, opened it, and then found out it only worked with ds lite -_- i was pissssssed. lol] so i would have wifi on that anyways, so the only thing the dsi would have different is a camera…. and plus, i know the dsi dosnt have a GBA slot, and thats a bummer because then i cant play my GBA pokemon games [ruby,saphire,emrald, and leaf green] on it 
and i have lots of other GBA games too lol….so i was just wondering, should i bother buying a new DS, and if so, should i go with a light, dsi, or dsi xl? thank you so much :]
btw, my DS still works, its screen is just detached on one side. lol
This might not solve your problem but will hopefully help:
- The DSI XL is already out in the UK (were I live) and you really have to see it displaying a game in person, it is a beauty of a console and the screens look gorgeous.
- The DS Lite (what I used to own) is a very nice console, very portable, and like you said has the GBA slot. There are also great deals on a DS Lite now the XL has come/coming out.
- I wouldn’t bother about the regular DS when you could have either of the other two, its just a slightly altered version of the Lite, but has no GBA slot, something you want!
My advice would be to get the DS Lite; it’s small, it’s lite, it’s cheap, it’s in many colors and it can play GBA games. But please wait to see an XL in person before making your choice as it truly is a beauty and may sway your decision!
No! because you have to wait till its completely broken cause don’t wast ur money cause it has marks (I had scratches/marks on mine then mine completely broke TRY THAT!)

Just buy a new shell for the ds from dealxtreme and it should be as good as new.

Get the DSi if you need or think the camera and music are fun. Otherwise the DS Lite is very good.
